By downloading or using Fajrunaa (“the application”), you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
1. Publisher
Fajrunaa is published personally by Karim Bouchez, under the author name dev&din. Contact: [email protected] (men) / [email protected] (women).
2. Description of the service
Fajrunaa is an iOS and Android alarm application, designed to help you not miss the dawn prayer (Fajr). It lets you set alarms (Fajr, other prayers, regular alarms) and attach challenges that must be completed to stop the alarm.
3. No user account
Fajrunaa works without any sign-up or sign-in. Your alarms and preferences are stored on your device only: they are not backed up to our servers, and therefore cannot be recovered if you switch phones, uninstall the app or clear its data.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the application for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to the orthodox Muslim tradition (Qur'an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf) on which the application's religious content is based.
- Attempt to bypass the anti-snooze challenges by technical means (jailbreak, code modification, etc.).
- Reuse the application's content (verses, hadiths, du'as, texts, design) without written permission.
5. Additional features and subscription
The essentials of Fajrunaa are free and stay free: the Fajr alarm, its challenges, turning it on or off, and the prayer times.
Other features — regular alarms, multiple alarms, sound choice, volume, snooze, history and Fajr streak, Fajr card themes — are offered for a while, then pause. Two ways to keep them: help someone discover the app (referrals), or take out a support subscription.
5.1 Referrals
Entering someone's referral code gives you one month of additional features. They receive one in turn once the app has woken you up three times for Fajr. Tiers grant extra months, and ten confirmed invitations give lifetime access. These months are access to the product: they are not transferable, exchangeable, or refundable in cash.
5.2 Subscription
The support subscription is offered monthly or yearly. The prices shown in the app prevail: they depend on the country and the store. It gives access to the additional features for its whole duration.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account upon confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same duration unless renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the account is charged within the 24 hours prior to renewal.
Management and cancellation happen in your phone's subscription settings (App Store or Google Play), never in the app: the store is the one that charges you. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google, depending on the store used.
For purchases made on the App Store, the licence is Apple's standard EULA: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
6. Intellectual property
The application, its code, its design, its content (texts, illustrations, sounds) are the property of the publisher or its assignees. The Qur'an verses and hadiths quoted are in the public domain; however, the French translations offered in the application may remain subject to the rights of the translators where applicable.
7. Availability of the service
The application is provided “as is”. We strive to keep it available but cannot guarantee zero interruption (updates, server incidents, phone failure, OS power-saving mode, etc.).
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages. No liability shall be incurred for indirect damages (data loss, loss of business, etc.).
9. Personal data
Processing of your data is governed by our privacy policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published at this address. Continuing to use the application after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These terms are governed by French law.
